Barrioteca — Android App
Loan management, barcode scanner, local login and background sync built with Jetpack Compose.
I build technology in service of people —not the other way around: quiet, honest software that solves real problems with the elegance of what goes unnoticed.
Founder of DiploTech, my personal brand.
I believe technology should behave like a good butler: discreet, attentive, almost invisible. There when you need it, out of the way when you don't. So I build software that bends to people, not the other way around.
I have never studied programming, or anything like it: I am entirely self-taught. I have always devoted myself to volunteering and to work in service of people; computing, on the other hand, is my true passion. And lately I have discovered that there is no greater pleasure than working at what is your calling.
Over the last few years I have shaped, end to end, the digital products of Barrioteca Acalencá and the Lebeche association: Android and iOS apps, a web app, a backend and the infrastructure that holds them. Every line of code, an act of care.
Under the DiploTech brand I gather this craft: honest technology, in service of those who use it.
Real products, in production, designed and developed end to end.
Loan management, barcode scanner, local login and background sync built with Jetpack Compose.
CalDAV calendar, mail, web and drive unified in a single app for Lebeche's organizers.
React 19, Vite and Tailwind frontend. Instant interaction with no service workers breaking updates.
Static, indexable site fed by JSON, with its own admin panel for editing content.
Native wrapper (WKWebView + SwiftUI) with camera access for the barcode scanner.
REST API and ISBN import scripts on top of SLiMS (PHP 8 + MariaDB).
A free-software operating system made in Andalusia, based on ChromeOS/ChromiumOS with optional Google Apps.
Self-hosted stack: Nginx rules, encryption and reverse proxies serving multiple projects from a Synology Web Station.
macOS Sonoma 14 on non-Apple hardware (ASUS Z590 + i5-11600K + GTX 970): OpenCore EFI, rEFInd dual boot, OCLP graphics patching and Intel Wi-Fi/Bluetooth.
Reverse engineering and port of the GoogleBookOS (Aluminium OS, Android 17) desktop UI to an unrooted Pixel Tablet: EROFS partition extraction, APK auditing, aconfig/Phenotype flag analysis and a native launcher app.
If you want to discuss a project, a collaboration, or just chat about technology, I'd be glad to hear from you.
